UK Captive Briefing
The Brief
The 15 July, 2025 was a potentially historic day for the global captive and London insurance markets, as UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves confirmed the Government's commitment to introducing a "bespoke and competitive" captive insurance regime by summer 2027. The onus now falls on the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) to design and implement a supervisory framework that can compete with established domiciles around the world and encourage greater adoption of captive solutions across the UK's corporate community. Held three months after the Government's announcement, the UK Captive Briefing, produced by Captive Intelligence, will provide London market and captive professionals with expert opinion and insight into why captives can benefit the wider commercial marketplace, how the UK can compete and what is required by the regulator to facilitate it.
